EarthFest LA 2013 returns to West Los Angeles College Campus

April 10, 2013 News

EarthFest Los Angeles 2013’s Concert for the Environment and Expo is being held again on the West Los Angeles College campus.

West Los Angeles College is an accredited California Community College offering paths to university transfer, career education and courses for personal or professional growth. It occupies 70 park-like acres overlooking Culver City, Marina Del Rey and Greater West Los Angeles. On a clear day from the highest points on campus, you can see the Pacific Ocean. The combination of physical environment, smaller class sizes, and outstanding faculty often lead people to describe West as having a small private school feel, but at a community college price.

In addition to a number of options leading to university transfer, West’s signature career programs include Motion Picture Television Trades Crafts, Dental Hygiene, Paralegal, Computer Science professional certifications, Aviation Maintenance, Early Childhood Education (Child Development), and Administration of Justice.  West also offers one of the largest online degree and course offerings of any California Community College.

As a result of a bond-construction program, West has added three new modern buildings featuring multi-media capable classrooms, state-of-the-art labs, and presentation boards that link to personal lap tops. Other buildings have been renovated including the library with a large computer lab area for students. And, free WiFi is available to students all over campus.
