EarthFest Los Angeles 2018

10th Annual

Now in its 10th successful year of bringing citizens together in unity and community to celebrate the beautiful planet we call home, EarthFest Los Angeles 2018 is the City of Angels' premier musical, creative, and activist-oriented festival for those interested in healthy lifestyles, sustainable living, and the many important, wide-ranging environmental and socioeconomic issues facing Mother Earth today.

EarthFest Los Angeles will take place on Saturday, October 20th, 2018, at Media Park in Culver City.

A highly-popular and free public service project of California Greenworks, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on improving city urban communities through environmental outreach and educational programs, EarthFest Los Angeles is a fun, day-long, and family-friendly event filled with live music, cultural dancing, influential guest speakers, children's activities, information workshops, and much, much more - all focused on maintaining healthy lifestyles, adopting sustainable living best practices, and addressing...and taking action against such major environmental problems as global climate change, air, land and water pollution, and deforestation. Here at California Greenworks, we believe those changes first begin with ourselves, our lifestyles, and our living practices, and those transformations then have a direct and long-lasting positive impact on our environment.

AfriCali a hearty cloppino of rock, blues, heavy rhythms and percussion of 1970's South African music, Drenched in Hip hop Roots topped with coastal-spch seasoning. AfriCali is more than just a band, it's "a mixture of Afrobeat truth-consciousness with a Californian street swagger, morphed with hip-hop and drenched in cultural roots". The AfriCali genre lends importance to all the instrumentation as much as it does to the vocals. The melodies of each instrument and voice develop in episodes, as opposed to the familiar verse-chorus format. Influences are drawn from soulful rock, blues, heavy rhythms and percussion of 1970s Ethiopian music topped with coastal-psych seasoning. After working together with the likes of Brian Wilson, Gerry Garcia, Talib Kweli and K'Naan, keyboarder Nico Georis und MC Eyezon founded AfriCali in 2010 as an immaculate realization of the musical melting pot they envisioned. Dedicated to the "daughters of the sun and the mothers of the brave", their new TDR release "Taught Of A Culture" is an authentic liberatory statement of this concept, living up to real values and aspirations by pushing aside all limits and boundaries for a new, self-determined culture. Recommended for fans of The Rolling Stones, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Eugene McDaniels, Serge Gainsbourg, William Onyeabor and Talib Kweli alike.

Little Fish is a popular 7 piece band from Ventura County, CA. The music is classic R&B, Funk, dance music. Our sound is composed of rich vocals, with male and female lead singers, fine guitar work, keyboards (with synthesized horn and string sections). The band has a very good following at Ventura and LA County clubs, concerts and other venues. Various band members have had amazing careers playing with such artists as Kenny Loggins, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Three Dog Night, George Benson, Rick Springfield, Dave Mason, Hugh Laurie's Band for TV, and others. Lead singer, Jeff Pescetto is a recording artist/ song writer, who has worked in-studio with Quincy Jones, David Foster and other well known producers. Band members have played in all types and sizes of venues, including the Gibson Universal Amphitheater, Fox Theater Atlanta, Santa Monica Civic Center, and at the National Mall, in Washington DC.

Solo Artist Jessica Childress An LA-based singer/songwriter reminiscent of the golden age of classic soul, Jessica Childress has an enormous voice that combines traditional R&B with a rock n' roll energy. Since her national music debut on Season 4 of NBC's The Voice, she's opened for Charles Bradley, The Family Stone, Patti Labelle, Allen Stone and performed at SXSW, Sunset Strip Music Festival, Long Beach NYE, and Bottlerock Napa 2017.

If you're looking for a genuine Eagles experience, look no further. The Boys of Summer are comprised of true veteran musicians who re-create some of the greatest music ever written, note for note. Together they have played thousands of festivals, corporate parties, casinos, private parties, weddings, and other events. Playing this music with accuracy takes intense focus, and having all those shows behind them has given them the seasoning it takes to recreate these incredible songs.
